Facebook will begin to tell you, when the story may be false
Facebook has been struggling for several months, should it crack down on false rumors and hoaxes, which are distributed on its website. Now, finally, taking a decision.
Social networking will cooperate with the International Poynter testing networks of facts, which includes groups like Snopes and the Associated Press, as the articles marked with Facebook users. If this article does not pass the test to-dam, Facebook will mark this assessment whenever they are placed, or jointly, with reference to the organization which debunked the story. Many organizations say they do not pay for it.
"We have a responsibility to reduce the spread of false news on our platform," said Adam Mosseri, Facebook vice president of product development at The Washington Post. Mosseri said the social network still wants to be a place where people of all kinds can express his opinion, but has no interest in becoming a mediator of what is right and what is not for their users 1 billion.
